Joshua Tree National Park Elopement
When you schedule a vacation to Joshua Tree National Park, It’s only necessary that you grab some of your friends to create some elopement inspiration.
Old Friends
Luke and Courtney are actually some of our oldest friends. We have all known each other since the beginning of middle school and have been great friends ever since. Every year, we plan a couples trip with some of our other friends and this year we decided to go to Joshua Tree.
This was the 5th time I had gone to Joshua Tree in just 3 months. It helps when it’s only 2 hours from your home. Most of my friends, however, had never been. We rented an airbnb and stayed for 3 nights playing games and exploring the park.
The Desert in the Winter?
It’s weird going to the desert in the winter because it is just so freaking cold and doesn’t really make sense.
The last day of the shoot, my wife and I stayed later with Luke and Courtney to create. My favorite florist, Woven Florals, happens to live up in Palm Desert and donated this incredible bouquet. On our way back to Joshua Tree National Park, there was this freaking full rainbow that we just had to stop and take elopement pictures under. Like, who gets this chance??? Once in a life time opportunity for sure!
A Freakin Rainbow!
We pulled off on the side of the freeway, got dressed really quick and only stayed for about 5 minutes til the rainbow was gone. I guess you could say we made it just in time.
Afterwards, we finally headed up to the park where it was absolutely freezing. 45 degrees in the desert??? Really? If you are planning on having your elopement in Joshua Tree National Park, I would recommend going sometime in the fall or spring! That is when the weather is best.
Forever Favs
These will forever be some of my favorite desert photos. It was so fun to celebrate these two (who have been married for almost 5 years) and give them a memory that they will never forget.
